What software is better than Jobber?
Short answerThe software that wins for you is the one shaped like your business: appointments, repeating routes or long projects. Jobber's help center describes importing clients from CSV, a useful baseline for judging any tool's migration help before you commit to a move. [1]
The explanation
Appointment trades, such as cleaners and groomers, live on calendars, reminders and rebooking. Route trades, such as lawn, pest and pool, live on stop lists and recurring plans. Project trades, such as remodelers and roofers, live on estimates, change orders and progress billing.
Pick the shape first, then compare tools within it. A tool built around projects feels heavy for a groomer, and one built around appointments feels thin for a remodeler. If a vendor has a pack or template for your trade, ask to see it working with your own services.
Then check migration help. Jobber's help center describes importing clients from a CSV spreadsheet and importing one-off and recurring jobs the same way. [1] Ask any alternative the same questions: what imports, what must be retyped and what happens to history. A smooth move is part of what better means.
What to watch for
- Paying for project features a route business never uses.
- Assuming history will import without asking.
How Apex does it
In progress
Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex includes a carpet, pressure-wash and window cleaning pack, and works toward route-based recurring routes and import from competitor exports. The pack is built for the first business only, and the others are partly built.
- IP01Carpet / pressure-wash / window cleaning pack(Built)
- RC10Route-based recurring routes (stop lists)(In progress)
