Is there a free trial of landscaping scheduling software?

Process: Software pricing and choosing. Trade: Lawn care. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerYes. Jobber lists a 14-day trial with full Grow plan access and Housecall Pro lists 14 days on Max, each without a credit card ^[1]^[2]. Use the days on a weekly mowing route, a rain-out move and a one-time install estimate, since these three break weaker tools.

The explanation

Landscaping combines two kinds of work. Weekly maintenance runs on a fixed route with little variation, while installs and clean-ups are one-off projects with a quote, a deposit and sometimes multiple days. A good scheduler handles both without forcing one into the other's shape.

Start the trial by entering your route. Add thirty properties with the day, the price and the gate or dog note. Then try the rainy Wednesday: move all of Wednesday to Thursday and see how many clicks that took, and whether customers were told.

Last, create a project: a patio install over three days with a deposit. If the trial shows both kinds of work cleanly on one calendar, the tool fits. If one kind feels wedged in, expect the same friction every week after you pay.

Steps

Enter thirty route properties with notes.
Move one rained-out day to the next and count clicks.
Create a three-day install with a deposit.
Check that both work types appear on one calendar.

What to watch for

No bulk move for a whole day of visits.
Seasonal off-months that still bill the full plan.

In lawn care

Landscaping splits into fixed weekly maintenance and occasional multi-day installs, with weather deciding daily which of them can run. All lawn care scheduling questions.

How Apex does it

Rolling out

The screen and the rules are built and tested. Saving real customer data is not connected yet. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex lists a lawn and landscape pack and bulk reschedule to move a whole day, each with its own status badge. A 14-day free trial needs no card, and pricing afterward is $59 a month for one user.
