What does tree service software cost?
Short answerPublic field service pricing starts near $29 a month on Jobber's lowest plan billed annually, and $59 a month on Housecall Pro's Basic plan billed annually, both for one user [1][2]. Monthly billing costs more, and every extra crew member usually adds a seat fee, so price the whole crew.
The explanation
Those starting numbers are for one person. Jobber lists extra users at $29 per month each, and its mid plans bundle five users [1]. Housecall Pro's Basic plan is listed with one user, Essentials with five, and Max with eight plus $35 per extra user [2].
Billing choice matters. Jobber's page shows its Core plan at $49 on a no-commitment monthly basis and $29 with an annual commitment [1]. Housecall Pro lists Basic at $79 billed monthly against $59 billed annually [2]. Annual prepay saves money but locks the cash in.
To estimate your own bill, count everyone who needs to see the schedule: owner, estimator, crew leads. Multiply by the seat price, then add any add-ons you cannot live without. Card processing is separate on every platform, so compare that rate as well.
What to watch for
- Quotes that show only the one-user price.
- Annual prepay that is non-refundable if the tool does not fit.
- Add-ons for texting, AI answering or marketing that sit outside the plan.
In tree service
A tree company usually has an estimator, a crew lead or two and an office person, so the real seat count is often three to six, not one. All tree service scheduling questions.
