Is there free cleaning business scheduling software?
Short answerYes, free tiers exist: ServiceM8 lists a free plan for one user with 30 jobs a month, and Square lists a free appointments tier where you pay only processing fees. [1] [2] They cover basic scheduling for a solo cleaner but leave out features a crew needs, such as recurring plans. [1]
The explanation
A free plan is designed for one person. ServiceM8's lists one user and thirty jobs a month, and its higher plans add recurring jobs, deposits and job costing in the comparison table. [1]
Square's free tier has no monthly subscription and charges processing fees when you take payments. [2] The paid tiers add more, billed per location.
For a cleaning business, the features that save the most time are recurring visits, reminders and a checklist per home. Test a free tier with your five most regular customers. If you are rebuilding the same weekly schedule by hand, you have outgrown it. Also ask whether the free plan lets you send reminders before each visit, because a missed key or a locked door costs a cleaner a whole slot. Write down what each tier leaves out before you start, so you can see the gap clearly.
In residential cleaning (maid service)
Cleaning is built on weekly and every-other-week visits. A free tool that cannot repeat a visit on a pattern will cost you hours of re-entering. All residential cleaning (maid service) scheduling questions.
