Why is my booking link not working?

Process: App reliability and support. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerA booking link that fails is usually one of seven things: a mistyped or truncated address, a page that was paused or unpublished, no open times left, a service area that rejects the visitor, a blocked embed on your website, a stale browser cache, or a phone app that opens links in a limited viewer.

The explanation

Start with the simplest test: paste the link into a private browser window on a different network, such as a phone on mobile data. If it loads there, your original browser has stale cached data or an extension blocking it. If it fails everywhere, the problem is on the page itself.

Then look at settings. A page can be paused, a service can be hidden, and a lead time can remove every open slot so the page appears empty. A service area that rejects the visitor's zip also looks like failure. Check that at least one service is active with future open hours.

If the link works alone but not inside your website, the embed is the suspect. Some site builders block scripts or frames, and a social media app may open links in a limited viewer. Test the plain link from each place you share it.

Steps

  1. Paste the link into a private window on mobile data and note whether it loads.
  2. Confirm the page is published and at least one service is active.
  3. Check lead time, blackout dates and hours so open slots exist.
  4. Test your own zip against the service area.
  5. If it fails only on your website, replace the embed with the plain link to confirm.

What to watch for

  • A link copied with a trailing character from a message or email.
  • Assuming it is broken when no future times are open.

How Apex does it

Built, rolling out

Built. A real server path exists; only setup steps remain before customers can use it. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex is designed to provide a hosted booking page and an embeddable widget for a website, with lead time and blackout dates that can be reviewed when a page seems empty. The hosted page is built and rolling out.
