What is better than Jobber?

Process: Software pricing and choosing. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerNo tool is better for every business, so judge an alternative on four tests: fit for your trade, limits that depend on plan, effort to move your data, and whether your crew will use it. Jobber's own help pages show why plan limits deserve the closest read. [1]

The explanation

Trade fit comes first. A route-based lawn company, a one-visit plumber and a multi-week remodeler need different things. Write the five features you cannot work without, and test each in any tool, including the one you have now.

Plan limits come second. Jobber's help center says its settings-based route optimization is available on certain plans and only for accounts on its Legacy Schedule, with a separate option on the New Schedule. [1] Whatever tool you consider, read the help pages for limits like that, not just the feature list.

Third, count the cost of moving. Ask how customers, jobs and invoices export and import, and run a trial with a copy of your real week. Fourth, put the tool in a crew member's hands. The best product on paper loses to the one the crew opens every morning.

What to watch for

  • Comparing feature lists instead of testing your own week.
  • Skipping the plan-limit pages in the help center.

How Apex does it

Rolling out

The screen and the rules are built and tested. Saving real customer data is not connected yet. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex works toward import from competitor exports with a side-by-side check, and a switch protection ledger. Both are built as screens, and Apex is in early access with one business as its only user.

  • OB04Import from Jobber / HCP / Workiz / ServiceTitan exports(Rolling out)
  • OB02Import from competitor with side-by-side check(Rolling out)
  • OB14Switch protection (never lose data, ledger)(Rolling out)

Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
