Is Jobber worth it?
Short answerWhether it is worth the price depends on your numbers, not on a feature list [1]. Its pricing page lists single-user plans from 29 dollars a month on annual billing [1]. Compare that against the hours you spend on scheduling and invoices, and the revenue you lose to missed follow-ups and late payments.
The explanation
Start with a baseline. For a month, note the hours spent on booking calls, writing quotes, chasing invoices and building the day's route. Multiply by what an hour of your time is worth. If the tool replaces even a fraction of that, the cost is easy to justify.
Then look at leaks. Count quotes that never got a follow-up, invoices paid late, and visits missed because a reminder was never sent. Jobber's page lists features such as automated client reminders and quote and invoice follow-ups on its Connect plan, which is the tier above Core [1].
Finally, price the real configuration, not the headline. Add users and add-ons you would actually use [1]. Use the free trial, which the page lists as 14 days on the Grow plan with no card [1], to test on real jobs. If it does not change your week by the end, it is not worth it for you.
Steps
- Track one month of admin hours: booking, quoting, invoicing and routing.
- Count missed follow-ups, late invoices and no-shows from that month.
- Price the plan, users and add-ons you would really use.
- Run the trial on live jobs and compare the results with your baseline.
What to watch for
- Judging on features you will never touch.
- Skipping the trial and committing to a year [1].
