How do I turn off Microsoft Bookings for my organization?

Process: Switching and cancelling. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerMicrosoft's documentation says an administrator can turn Shared Bookings on or off for the organization in the Microsoft 365 admin center, or with a PowerShell setting [1]. The personal Bookings page in Outlook is covered in a separate article [2]. You need admin rights to do either.

The explanation

The vendor's page on Shared Bookings states that an organization can turn it off using the Microsoft 365 admin center, and shows a PowerShell command that changes the organization setting [1]. Its frequently asked questions page confirms that administrators can turn off Bookings if they choose [3].

A person's own booking page is handled in a different article titled Turn off Personal Bookings page, which describes blocking access through a mailbox policy [2]. If you only have a regular user login, you cannot change these organization settings and need to ask the person who administers your account.

A small business often has one person doing everything. Check whether you are the admin of your own tenant before you start. If customers use a Bookings link you shared, replace that link first, since turning the feature off will break it.

Steps

  1. Sign in as an administrator of your Microsoft 365 organization.
  2. Follow the vendor's admin center steps to turn Shared Bookings off [1].
  3. For personal booking pages, follow the separate vendor article [2].
  4. Replace any Bookings link on your website or emails before turning it off.
