Is there a free junk removal app?

Process: Booking and scheduling. Trade: Junk removal. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerA junk hauler can start with a free booking tool, then add paid features as volume grows. Expect limits on text reminders, photo uploads and anything priced by load. Setmore advertises a free plan, and Square Appointments lists a Free tier at $0 per location with no staff limit [1][2].

The explanation

The app has two audiences. Customers want to send a photo, see a window and get a price before the truck rolls. Your crew wants an address, a load estimate and notes about stairs or a locked gate. A free tool usually serves the customer side only.

To test, run one week of requests through the free app and keep your usual notebook beside it. Count jobs where the app lacked information you needed on the doorstep, such as an access code or an item that needs two people.

Then price the upgrade. Setmore places SMS reminders on a paid tier from $5 per user per month, and Square Appointments lists a Free tier with a higher online card rate than paid levels [1][2]. If reminders cut your no-shows, that fee pays for itself on the first saved truck trip.

What to watch for

  • No way for customers to attach photos of the pile.
  • Reminders gated behind a paid tier.

In junk removal

Junk jobs are quoted from photos, scheduled in short windows and often need a second helper, so the request form should collect pictures and access notes. All junk removal scheduling questions.

Apex lists photo upload on the booking form and real availability shown to visitors, each with its own status badge. Requests arrive pending until you confirm them. A 14-day free trial needs no card, with user pricing from $59 a month.
