Is Calendly worth it? What do owners on Reddit say?
Short answerI did not use forum posts as evidence, so I cannot report what Reddit says about Calendly. [1] What I can verify is the price: a free plan, Standard at $10 per seat per month and Teams at $16. [1] Your own two-week test will tell you more than any thread. [1]
The explanation
Forum opinions come from very different businesses: sales teams, coaches, tutors and trades. A recruiter who loves a link tool may be solving a different problem from a roofer.
Read for specifics instead of verdicts. Look for the same trade, similar crew size, and a reason. A comment that says it saved phone calls for estimates is useful. A comment that says it is great is not.
Then test. Use the free plan for one appointment type for two weeks, count how many customers book without calling, and count how many still need a phone call to fix an address or time. [1] That ratio is your answer, and it costs nothing. Ignore star counts and read for trade and crew size. Write the result of the test down so the decision does not depend on mood.
How Apex does it
Built, rolling out
Built. A real server path exists; only setup steps remain before customers can use it. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex also offers a 14-day trial with no card. During it, customers can request a time and reschedule or cancel from a link, and the owner confirms each request.
