Is Calendly free worth it?
Short answerCalendly's free plan is worth it for a solo owner who sells one kind of appointment, since it allows one event type and one calendar at no charge. [1] It stops being enough when you need several services, reminders or payments, which sit on the paid Standard plan. [1]
The explanation
The test is how many different things a customer can book. A groomer with small, medium and large dog slots, or a cleaner with deep and standard cleans, has more than one event type. [1] The free plan covers one.
Then look at the follow-up. Standard lists automations and reminders, so the free plan leaves reminders to you. [1] For a business that loses money on no-shows, that gap can cost more than the seat.
Finally, think about what a link cannot do: it takes a time, not an address, and it does not plan a route. If you drive to customers, a free link can work as a front door while you keep the schedule elsewhere. Use it that way until the double entry bothers you.
