Is Calendly Standard worth it?
Short answerCalendly Standard is worth it if you need more than one appointment type, reminders or payment connections, since the page lists unlimited event types, automations and reminders, and Stripe or PayPal connections for $10 per seat per month. [1] A solo owner with one service gets little from it. [1]
The explanation
Reminders are the strongest reason. A reminder before a visit is a cheap way to cut no-shows, and the Standard tier is where the page lists them. [1] If you currently text every customer by hand, the saved minutes are the benefit.
Multiple calendars also matter if you keep a personal and a work calendar and want conflicts caught. The page lists connecting multiple calendars on Standard. [1]
What it does not add is anything specific to field work. There is no listing on the page for route order or job pricing. If your day is driving between houses, count the tool as a front door, not a back office, and price the rest separately. If none of these applies, stay on free a while longer. A one-week trial with a real customer is a fair way to decide.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex adds reminders, route order and buffer time between jobs to the booking step. Texting needs a connected provider account first. Plan prices are $59, $99 or $129.
