Does Calendly Standard send text reminders?
Short answerCalendly's own help page lists the Standard plan among the plans that can send text reminders through Automations [1]. That page also says feature access may vary by plan, account age and add-ons, so confirm it in your account before promising customers texts [1].
The explanation
The relevant help article names Professional, Standard, Standard Plus, Teams, Teams Plus and Enterprise as the plans where text Automations apply [1]. It carries a note that access can differ with when an account was created and with any add-ons [1].
That caveat is the practical one. A plan name on a page does not prove your account has the feature switched on. Open Automations in your account, build a test reminder to your own phone, and see whether it sends.
Also read the limits that apply on any plan. Calendly says new accounts get limited text customization for a while, invitees must opt in, and messages are capped at 180 characters [1]. If a field crew needs longer notes, plan for the email reminder to carry them.
Steps
- Open the Automations area of your account.
- Create a text reminder that sends to your own number.
- Book a test appointment and note when and how the text arrives.
- Read the opt-in step your customers will see at booking.
What to watch for
- Relying on a plan name without testing.
- Reminders that cut off key notes.
How Apex does it
In progress
Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex builds reminders with editable templates and STOP handling. Text sending depends on the owner connecting their own provider account and carrier registration first, so a test message is the first step there too.
