How to solve software issues?

Process: App reliability and support. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerSolve software issues by triaging in five minutes: find out who is affected, what changed recently, and whether the problem repeats on demand. That narrows the cause to your device, your account, your network or the vendor. A good answer to those three questions also makes a support ticket far faster to resolve.

The explanation

Ask first whether it is just you. If a coworker on another phone sees the same problem, it is probably the account or the service. If only your device fails, the cause is likely local: storage, the operating system version, or a bad connection.

Ask what changed. A new phone, an update, a password reset, a plan change, or a new staff permission are all common triggers. If the problem started right after one of those, you have your first suspect.

Then try to reproduce it. Write down the exact steps that trigger it, the time, and what the screen said. Take a screenshot. With that, a support person can often reply with a fix, rather than a request for more detail, and you stop paying for the same delay twice.

Steps

  1. Ask a coworker on a different device whether they see the same problem.
  2. List anything that changed in the last day: updates, passwords, permissions.
  3. Reproduce the problem and write down the exact steps and error text.
  4. Take a screenshot and send it with those details if you contact support.

What to watch for

  • Reinstalling before you know whether the problem is the account.
  • Sending support a message that just says it is broken.

How Apex does it

Not a scheduler feature

Apex is in early access with one business using it, so there is no long support history to point to. Roles and permissions exist for the team, which helps narrow down whether a problem is account-wide or limited to one person.

Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
