Why is calendly not working?
Short answerWhen a scheduling link seems not to be working, the cause is usually one of three: the service is having an outage, your availability settings are hiding the times, or a connected calendar shows you as busy. Calendly's preview page has a Troubleshoot tool that lists the reason a given time is unavailable [1].
The explanation
Open the event type, choose Preview, and use Troubleshoot to pick a date and time that looks unavailable but should be open [1]. The tool then lists the reasons the time is blocked. That is much faster than guessing, and it tells you whether to change a schedule, a holiday setting or a calendar.
If the tool shows no reason and the page will not load at all, treat it as an outage. Look for the vendor's own status page and test the link from a phone on cell data. A link that works on cell data but not your Wi-Fi points at your network.
Keep a fallback for your customers. Put your phone number beside the booking link, so a person who hits an error can still reach you. A broken link that loses a lead costs more than the few minutes of fixing it.
Steps
- Open the event type and choose Preview.
- Click Troubleshoot and pick a time that should be open.
- Read the reasons listed and edit the schedule or calendar that blocks it.
- If the page will not load, test on cell data and check the vendor's status page.
What to watch for
- Debugging for an hour before testing from a second network.
- Leaving a booking link on your website with no phone number beside it.
How Apex does it
Not a scheduler feature
Apex has its own booking page with real availability and a request mode where the owner confirms each request. This is an alternative to a general scheduling link, not a diagnosis of any other tool.
Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
