I hate my air duct cleaning software, what else is there?
Short answerBefore leaving disliked air duct cleaning software, export your customer list and job history, write down the three things it fails at, and test a replacement on a copy of your real week. Keep the old account until the new one has run a full cycle.
The explanation
Dislike alone is not a spec. List the specific failures: slow invoicing, no photo records, bad route order, poor reminders. Those become your test, and a replacement that fixes only one of them is not worth the move.
Export first, always. Get a CSV of customers, addresses, phone numbers, job history and open invoices, and save a copy off the system. Before-and-after photos are often the hardest piece to export, so ask the old vendor how photos leave the account.
Run both in parallel for a short window. Enter new jobs in the new tool while the old one stays available for history, and compare totals at the end of the first full week. Cancel only after you have matched the numbers. Ask the vendor in writing how long your data stays reachable after cancellation.
What to watch for
- Cancelling before confirming how long your data stays accessible.
- Importing a messy list without cleaning duplicates.
In residential cleaning (maid service)
Duct cleaning keeps equipment details, vent counts and photo evidence per job. Check that the new tool can hold those fields and photos, since they often back up a callback. All residential cleaning (maid service) scheduling questions.
How Apex does it
In progress
Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex includes a customer import from CSV and a CSV export at any time, and works toward a switch protection that keeps a ledger of imported data. All three are partly built or built as screens, not yet connected to saved data.

- LD16Customer export (CSV) at any time(In progress)
- OB14Switch protection (never lose data, ledger)(Rolling out)
