I hate my carpet and tile cleaning software, what else is there?
Short answerCarpet and tile cleaners should check how a replacement handles pricing by area and by room, recurring customers and repeat-visit reminders. Export the customer list and price list, then run a week of real quotes on both before closing the old account.
The explanation
Carpet and tile pricing is often by square foot, by room or by service package, with add-ons such as protector or pet treatment. If a new tool cannot express your price list, you will retype quotes by hand and the switch will cost more than it saves.
Export customers, addresses, last service dates and open invoices. The last service date matters because it drives your reminder list: many customers are due again in a year or so, and losing those dates means losing a marketing list.
Build five quotes in the new tool from your actual price list and compare them to what the old tool produced. If the totals differ, find out why before you move. Then enter a few upcoming jobs in the new tool and keep the rest in the old one until the cycle completes.
What to watch for
- Importing customers without their last service date.
- Recreating the price list from memory.
In carpet cleaning
Cleaning customers return on a long cycle, so reminders are part of the value. Make sure the last service date and the services performed carry over, or the reminder list resets to zero. All carpet cleaning scheduling questions.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex includes a carpet, pressure-wash and window cleaning pack, and works toward customer import from CSV and import from competitor exports. The pack is built for the first business only, and the imports are partly built.
