How do you price junk removal jobs?
Short answerMany junk haulers price by load tiers, such as a quarter, half, three-quarter or full truck, each with a fixed price built from their own cost per load. Add a minimum, extra charges for heavy or special items, and a photo estimate that you confirm on arrival.
The explanation
Tiers make quotes fast. Work out your cost for a full load: labor, fuel, truck, disposal and overhead. Divide it into fractions, then add margin to each. Customers like a price they can picture, and you avoid arguing about weight.
Keep extras visible. A mattress, a refrigerator with refrigerant, paint or construction debris can change disposal cost. Put those on a short list at booking.
Use photos to estimate, then confirm in person before loading. If the load is bigger than the photos showed, the crew moves up a tier and tells the customer first. Write that rule on the quote. Record each job's actual fill and dump cost so you can adjust the tiers each season. Revisit the tiers each season using your own dump slips.

Because most customers want it gone fast, offer a narrow arrival window and keep the truck's day plan flexible for loads that run bigger than expected. All junk removal scheduling questions.

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex's service menu can hold load-size items with their own price and duration, and photo upload on the booking form is in progress. The schedule color-codes jobs by status or crew.
