What does the 14-day free trial include, and what stays off?

Apex prices come from one source file and match the pricing page. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerApex's free trial runs 14 days and needs no card. You can set up customers, services and the schedule during it. Texts and AI stay off until you connect your own provider or fund the prepaid wallet, which is rolling out, so the trial shows the scheduling work and not real messaging.

The explanation

Use the days to test the work you do every week. Import your customer list, build your service menu with durations, set your service area, lead time and blackout dates, and send yourself a test request. A customer's online request arrives pending. You confirm it, and only then does it become a confirmed visit. If that rule matches how you want to run your day, the core of the tool fits.

Messaging is off on purpose. Texts cost money per message and need a registered sending number, and a half-finished test should not text a real customer by accident. Connect your own provider or fund the wallet only when you are ready, and when you do, test with your own phone number first, because from that point the messages are real.

A good trial runs your actual week in the tool next to your current system. Check the things that hurt later: can you export your customer list, does the route order make sense, and do two requests for the same slot collide. Before day 14 ends, look at what the billing screen shows, so the first charge is never a surprise.

How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

A guided setup wizard walks through the basics, and online requests arrive pending until the owner confirms them. A test mode is partly built. Texts and AI remain off until a provider or the wallet is connected.

  • BK11Booking requires owner approval (request mode)(Built)

More questions

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No. The trial needs no card. Check the signup screen to confirm what happens when the 14 days end, and decide before then whether to pick a plan.

Can I send test texts during the trial?

Texts stay off until you connect your own provider or fund the wallet. Once connected, they are real messages to real people, so send the first few to your own phone number.

Can I extend the trial if I need more time?

Self-serve trial extension is a partly built feature. Look in the app for the current options, and plan to test the important flows early in the trial instead of relying on an extension.
