What happens to my data and my bill if I cancel?
Short answerApex is designed as month-to-month with cancellation inside the app and a customer export, but both are only partly built, so confirm them in your account before you rely on them. Export your customers first, then cancel. Ask when billing stops and how long your stored data is kept afterward.
The explanation
Do the steps in order. First, export your customer list as a file and open it to confirm that names, phones and addresses are all there. Export invoices and job history too if the tool allows it. Second, note your billing date and your plan type. Third, cancel. Doing it in the other order risks losing access to the data you meant to keep.
Your bill depends on the plan. On monthly billing, ask whether the month you already paid for runs out or ends the day you cancel. On an annual plan, you paid for twelve months with two free, so read the refund terms shown at purchase before you cancel, and do not assume you get money back. Keep a dated screenshot of the terms you agreed to.
Data is the second question. Ask how long the vendor keeps your records after cancellation, whether you can request deletion, and whether you can reactivate later and find everything intact. Some records, such as invoices, may matter for your taxes, so check your own state's record-keeping rules and keep your own copy. Apex lists cancel in the app and customer export as partly built, so test both during the trial.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex is designed for month-to-month billing with cancellation in the app, and a customer list export in CSV form. Cancel in the app, export on cancel and customer export are each partly built, so check the badges.

More questions
Do I lose my customers when I cancel?
Not if you export first. A customer export as a CSV file is a partly built feature, so open the file and check names, phones and addresses before you cancel.
Will I be charged after I cancel?
Ask when billing stops. The usual question is whether the month already paid for runs out. Read the terms shown at purchase, and keep a dated copy of them.
How long is my data kept after I cancel?
Ask the vendor directly and get the answer in writing, along with whether you can request deletion. Keep your own exported copy so you never depend on the vendor's retention.
