Side by side
| Topic | Service Fusion says | Apex does by design | Apex status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plans and price | Three tiers, Starter, Plus and Pro, with annual and monthly rates shown on its pricing page [2][3]. | Three user-based plans: $59, $99 and $129 monthly, with $10 per extra user above 6.
| In progress |
| Contract and cancelling | Month-to-month with no contract is stated on the pricing page [4]. Cancel steps and refunds are not verified. | Designed as month-to-month with cancel in the app. That feature is partly built, as is export on cancel.
| In progress |
| Online booking requests | Online booking and request handling were not verified on the pages we read, so this is not verified. | Requests arrive pending until the owner confirms them, then become confirmed visits.
| Built, rolling out |
| Scheduling and routing | Its homepage describes route optimization using speed, fuel cost, traffic and weather inputs [1]. | Daily route optimization and an agenda view are built, with a drag and drop calendar in demo.
| Rolling out |
| Mobile app | iOS and Android technician apps are listed [7]. | No native app. Apex installs to the phone home screen as a web app (PWA).
| Built |
| QuickBooks | A QuickBooks integration is listed [8]. | Accounting sync is built as a demo and is not connected to real data yet.
| Rolling out |
A blank in the first column means we did not verify it. We make no claim about features Service Fusion does not publish.
When Service Fusion may fit better
Service Fusion may fit better if you run a team of several technicians and want a flat tier price that is not counted per user [4], GPS fleet tracking sold alongside the software [6], or phone and voice features listed in its Plus tier [5]. Apex is early access, with one business as its only tenant, and is newer and narrower.
How Apex is designed differently
Apex is designed around request mode: a customer request arrives pending and the owner, or the owner's rules, confirms it before it is a visit. Apex prices by number of users, with tiers of $59, $99 and $129 per month, and texts and AI phone minutes are not included in any plan. Data export on cancel is partly built.
This is a statement about Apex design, not a claim that Service Fusion falls short. Apex Flow Scheduler is early access, its only tenant is Apex’s own first business, and many features are still rolling out.
