Does QuickBooks cost money?

Process: Integrations and accounting. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerYes. QuickBooks Online lists four paid plans: Simple Start at $38 a month, Essentials at $85, Plus at $140 and Advanced at $340. [1] The page also advertises 50% off for the first three months and a 30-day free trial for new users. [1]

The explanation

Each plan includes a set number of users: Simple Start one, Essentials three, Plus five and Advanced twenty-five. [1] Accountant seats are listed separately, so your bookkeeper may not take a paid user slot.

The discounted price is a promotion, not the lasting price. After the first three months the full monthly figure applies. [1] Put the full figure in your budget.

For a service business the choice often comes down to whether you need to track inventory or projects, which the page associates with the higher plans. [1] If your scheduler can export invoices and payments cleanly, a cheaper plan may be enough. Ask your accountant before choosing, and check the live page, since the vendor changes prices. Annual contracts are not required according to the page. [1]

How Apex does it

Rolling out

The screen and the rules are built and tested. Saving real customer data is not connected yet. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex does not do bookkeeping. An accounting sync and an invoice export are both being built, so check their status badges. Plans are priced by user count: $59, $99 or $129.
