Is Acuity Scheduling free?
Short answerNo, Acuity's pricing page says it does not offer free appointment scheduling at this time, only a free trial [1]. The page lists the trial as seven days with no credit card needed [1]. After that, a paid plan is required to keep scheduling.
The explanation
The FAQ states the point plainly: no free plan, but a trial to test before committing [1]. It also says that when the trial ends, you are not charged until you choose a plan [1].
For a solo business with simple needs, that makes the tool a monthly cost from day one after the trial. Other vendors do list free tiers, so if your only need is basic booking for one person, compare those options too. The trial also needs no credit card, so testing costs nothing but your time.
Use the trial well. Seven days is short, so prepare before you start: have your services, durations and hours written down, connect your calendar, and send a few test bookings. Judge it on a real week, not on the settings screen.
Steps
- Write down services, durations, hours and your cancellation rule before starting the trial.
- Set up the booking page and connect your calendar on day one.
- Send test bookings, including a cancel and a reschedule.
- Decide on a plan before day seven using the listed prices.
