How to import into the Google Calendar app on a phone?
Short answerGoogle's help page says you can import ICS and CSV files into Google Calendar on a computer, not in the phone app. [1] Do the import on any computer signed in to the same account, and the events then show on your phone through normal syncing.
The explanation
The import instructions on Google's page are written for a computer, and the page states that importing with ICS and CSV files is done there. [1] If your file is on your phone, send it to yourself by email or save it to cloud storage, then open it on a computer.
Once imported into the account, the events appear in the phone app like any other, because the app reads from the account. You do not need to do anything on the phone except open the app and make sure the right calendar is switched on in its list.
If you do not have a computer, a library or a friend's laptop works, as long as you sign in only for the import and sign out afterward. Never share a password to have someone else do it.
What to watch for
- Looking for an import button inside the phone app.
- Leaving your account signed in on a shared computer.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex works toward an iCal subscribe feed and installs to the phone home screen as a web app. The install is built and the feed is partly built. There is no native phone app.
