How to import a CSV into Google Calendar?
Short answerA CSV for Google Calendar needs a header row in English, and only two headers are required: Subject and Start Date. [1] Optional headers add start and end times, location, description and a private flag. [1] Build it in a spreadsheet, save as CSV, then import.
The explanation
Google's page lists the headers: Subject, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time, All Day Event, Description, Location and Private. [1] The first two are required. If any value contains a comma, such as an address, put it inside quotation marks. [1]
For a service schedule, a row might hold the customer and job type as the subject, the visit date and times, the street address as location and the gate code or notes as description. Keep one visit per row, and make the date format consistent, such as 05/30/2026.
Save the sheet as a CSV file, then import it from a computer through Settings and Import and Export. [1] Put a test file of two or three rows through first. If it errors, the cause is usually a header spelled differently or a stray comma in the location field.
What to watch for
- Writing headers in another language or with different spelling.
- Leaving commas inside unquoted address cells.

Apex works toward customer import from CSV, a CSV export at any time and an iCal subscribe feed. All three are partly built, and none is connected to saved data for outside businesses yet.
