What is a good house cleaning schedule?
Short answerA good house cleaning schedule splits tasks into three layers: what happens every visit, what rotates monthly, and what happens a few times a year. Weekly or biweekly visits cover kitchens and bathrooms, while a rotation covers baseboards, windows and appliances.
The explanation
Every-visit tasks are the visible basics: kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, floors and trash. They set the client's feeling of a clean home. The monthly layer rotates one deeper task through each visit, such as baseboards one time, inside the microwave the next, and light fixtures after that.
The seasonal layer covers the heavy jobs: inside the oven and fridge, windows, ceiling fans, and behind appliances. Mark them on the client's record with a due month, so they happen as planned and do not depend on a cleaner's memory or a client's request.
Frequency drives price and results. Homes cleaned weekly stay easier than homes cleaned monthly, which need more time per visit. Write the checklist per home, because a house with pets or children changes the rotation. Review it with the client every six months.
What to watch for
- Letting deep tasks drift because nobody owns the rotation.
- Using one checklist for every home.
In residential cleaning (maid service)
For a cleaning company, the schedule is the product. Putting the rotation on each home's record, with due months for seasonal tasks, lets any cleaner arrive knowing what this visit includes. All residential cleaning (maid service) scheduling questions.

Apex works toward a cleaning pack with checklists and rooms, recurring service plans and job checklists or forms. All three are partly built or built as screens, and none is connected to saved data yet.
