My flooring software is too complicated, is there something simpler?
Short answerFlooring software gets complicated when it is built for large contractors. An installer needs to book the measure visit, quote by square foot, schedule delivery and acclimation of the material, and book the install. A tool that tracks those four steps and lets you message the customer is enough.
The explanation
The measure visit decides everything. It sets the square footage, the subfloor condition and the material order. Make it a separate appointment with its own time, so you do not end up quoting from guesses and then fixing them on install day.
Material is the awkward part. Boxes arrive days or weeks after ordering, and some products need to sit in the house before installation. Software should show whether the material has arrived before the install is locked in.
Test with one living room and one whole-house project. Quote both, set the delivery and install dates, then slip the delivery by a week and see what moves. If the tool lets you reschedule and notify the customer in a few taps, it fits your size.
In flooring installer
Flooring jobs start with a measure visit, depend on material arriving on time and sometimes need acclimation days. Quotes by area with a waste factor are standard, and installs may span several days. All flooring installer scheduling questions.

Rolling out
The screen and the rules are built and tested. Saving real customer data is not connected yet. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex has measurement takeoffs, multi-day jobs and an estimate builder. All three are still rolling out, with real customer data connections being finished.
