How do I never miss a customer call in my concrete business?

Process: Phone and AI answering. Trade: Concrete contractor. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerText every missed caller to request the job address and a few photos, rank callbacks by job size, and return the largest first. Concrete leads are worth a lot per job, and the sites where you stand are loud, so a short text that gathers details is the best use of the minutes you have.

The explanation

A driveway or slab inquiry may be worth thousands of dollars of work, and the person calling is typically asking several contractors. You are on a site with a mixer and a truck running, so the phone is out of reach exactly when the lead calls.

Make the text collect what an estimate needs: the address, what they want poured, rough dimensions, and photos of the area. A reply with photos tells you in a minute whether the lead is real and how far away it is.

Triage the list by size and distance. A large pour near your yard belongs at the top, a small patch across the county can wait. Give every caller a time you will respond, even the low-value ones, because small jobs sometimes come from people who later send big ones.

Steps

  1. Auto-text missed callers asking for address, size of the area and two photos.
  2. Rank replies by job size and distance from your current work.
  3. Call back the top leads between pours, and text a time to the rest.
  4. Record the lead source and outcome so you know which calls pay.

In concrete contractor

Concrete and paving leads are high value and arrive while the owner is on a loud site. Photos and an address collected by text let you judge a lead before spending drive time. All concrete contractor scheduling questions.

How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex is designed to text missed callers, accept photo-based quote requests and track the source of each lead. Texting needs a connected provider account first, and the photo request is in progress.
