How to cancel a Homebase subscription?

Process: Switching and cancelling. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerI did not find a verified cancel article for Homebase, so use the vendor's own help center. [1] Its pricing page says you can change your plan at any time and that the new plan starts at the next billing cycle, and it lists a free Basic tier. [1]

The explanation

The page describes changing plans, not a cancel button, so the safest reading is that a downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle. [1] If you want to stop paying but keep your data, the free Basic level for one location and up to ten employees may be an option.

Before you change anything, export timesheets, schedules and employee records, and note any payroll run in progress. If you use the vendor's payroll add-on, ask what happens to the final pay period and tax filings.

Then write down the date and the plan name you moved to, and keep the confirmation email. A month later, check that the card was not charged again. If it was, send support the confirmation and ask for a correction in writing.

How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex is designed month to month with cancellation inside the account and a data export so owners can leave with their customer list. Both are still in progress, so check their status badges.
