How to use Square to book appointments?
Short answerSquare's support article says customers can book through a Square booking site, a Book Appointment button added to your own website or email signature, or an embedded booking flow. [1] Pick one primary path, publish it, and test the full customer journey yourself.
The explanation
For an existing site, the article describes adding a button that links to your Square booking site, or copying an embed code from the dashboard so the booking flow appears on your page. [1] A link is the quickest. An embed keeps visitors on your own site.
Square's article also says customers can prepay with a credit or debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, a Square Gift Card, Afterpay or prepaid packages. [1] Decide whether you want prepayment, because it changes what customers expect.
Whichever path you choose, test it on a phone, since most customers will book there. Check how the page looks, how long the steps take and what message arrives. Then put the link in places customers already look, such as your email signature and social profile.
What to watch for
- Offering three booking paths with different rules.
- Skipping a test on a real phone.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex includes a hosted booking page and an embeddable widget for a website, and works toward deposits at booking. The page and widget are built, and deposits are partly built. A request stays pending until the owner confirms.
