The explanation

Begin with job length. A cleaner needs a time estimate for each home based on square footage, bathrooms, pets and how dirty it is. After the first visit, use the real time rather than the guess, and adjust the price if the estimate was off.

Then assemble the day. Cluster homes in the same area, add the drive between them, and leave a short buffer for late finishes. Keep the same cleaners with the same homes when possible, because clients notice and trust a familiar face, and the crew learns the house faster.

Finally, plan for change. Cancellations, sick days and new requests will move things. Keep a short list of flexible clients who can shift a day, and decide who gets notified when the schedule moves.
