I hate my concrete software, what else is there?

Process: Switching and cancelling. Trade: Concrete contractor. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerA concrete contractor switching software should export open bids, signed jobs and measurements, then test how the new tool handles square footage, cubic yards and multi-day pours. Keep the old account until every open job has been closed out in it or moved.

The explanation

Concrete work is bid by size and by spec, and the bid often includes quantities of material that tie to a pour date. Software that stores only a customer and a dollar amount loses the quantities you rely on for ordering.

Export open bids and signed jobs with their line items, not just totals. If the export cannot hold quantities, save PDFs of the bids and record the quantities for active jobs in a spreadsheet. Active jobs are the risk; finished ones can stay in the old account's archive until you have saved them.

Test on a live bid. Build one from scratch with a measurement and a material list, schedule a multi-day job, and check that deposits and progress payments are recorded. Move jobs in only when a pour date will not be disturbed by the switch.

What to watch for

  • Moving a job mid-pour schedule.
  • Losing the quantities behind a bid.

In concrete contractor

Weather moves pour days constantly. Check how easily the new tool moves a multi-day job and notifies the customer, because you will do it often. All concrete contractor scheduling questions.

How Apex does it

Rolling out

The screen and the rules are built and tested. Saving real customer data is not connected yet. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex works toward measurement takeoffs, multi-day jobs and import from competitor exports. Each is built as a screen or partly built, and none is connected to saved customer data yet.

  • SC09Multi-day jobs and projects(Rolling out)
  • OB04Import from Jobber / HCP / Workiz / ServiceTitan exports(Rolling out)

Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
