What information do I need to book an appointment with a service provider?
Short answerTo book a service appointment, have ready the service address, a clear description of the problem or job, photos if possible, details on access such as gates or pets, your best phone number, and two or three times that work. Providers who ask for these up front avoid repeat calls.
The explanation
A provider can only schedule well if the request is complete. The address determines whether they serve you and how long the drive is. The description determines duration and the tools or parts they bring. Photos remove guesswork from both.
Access details prevent failed visits. Say whether there is a gate code, a dog, a locked back yard, or limited parking. If you will not be home, say where the provider can find a key and whether the work can proceed without you.
Offer more than one time. Providers fit visits around other stops, and a customer who can do Tuesday or Thursday morning is easier to schedule than one fixed to a single hour. Ask what happens next, such as a confirmation message, and keep that message, since it holds the agreed time and price.
Steps
- Gather the address, a clear description, and a few photos.
- Note access details: gates, pets, parking, and who will be home.
- Offer two or three time options and your best contact method.
- Keep the confirmation message with the agreed time and price.
How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex is designed with intake questions and photo upload on the booking form and real availability shown to the visitor. The form pieces are partly built; the availability display is built and being prepared for customers.
