How to change a booking link address?

Process: Booking and scheduling. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerChange a booking link address by first listing every place the old one appears, then switching the address, updating each place, keeping a redirect from the old address if the tool allows it, and testing the new link on a phone. Old links in printed material and emails keep working only with a redirect.

The explanation

Booking links live in more places than most owners remember: the website button, social profile, map listing, email signature, text templates, printed cards and truck lettering. Make a list before changing anything, because each spot is a possible lost customer.

Choose the new address with care. Short, readable names help customers type it, and a name that matches your business reduces confusion. If the tool offers a custom domain, check that the security certificate works and that the address does not change again when you edit your profile.

After switching, test from a phone on mobile data, as a customer would. Submit a test request, check you receive it, and click the cancel link in the confirmation. If there is no redirect, keep the old address in mind for a while and watch for lost requests.

What to watch for

  • Updating the website but not the map listing.
  • No redirect for printed material.
  • Testing only on your own computer.
