How to import data into Google Calendar?

Process: Integrations and accounting. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerImporting data into Google Calendar moves event titles, dates, times, locations and descriptions, but not guests or conference data. [1] Repeat events brought in from a CSV may arrive as a series of one-time events, so check them after the import. [1]

The explanation

Google's help page states that when you import an event, guests and conference data for that event are not imported. [1] That matters for a service business: if your old calendar listed a customer as an attendee, that link will not carry over, so keep the name in the title or description.

The same page warns that repeat events from a CSV might not show up as repeating, and instead appear as one-time events in a series. [1] For a weekly lawn customer, that means fifty separate events instead of one series, which is awkward to edit later.

After importing, spot-check five or six events: the date, the time zone, the location and the description. Look at a recurring customer especially. If anything is wrong, delete the batch and fix the source file, which is easier when you imported into a separate calendar.

What to watch for

  • Assuming guest lists will follow the events.
  • Skipping the spot-check on repeat customers.

How Apex does it

In progress

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex works toward recurring jobs generated automatically, an iCal subscribe feed and a CSV customer export. All three are partly built, and none depends on repeating a one-time import.

  • SC10Recurring jobs auto-generated(In progress)
  • SC16iCal/ICS subscribe feed(In progress)
  • LD16Customer export (CSV) at any time(In progress)

Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
