How do I let electrician customers book themselves without calling me?

Process: Lead capture. Trade: Electrician. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerOffer routine service calls and project estimates for online requests, add a clear notice that emergencies such as burning smells or sparking should phone you, and use arrival windows. Self-booking handles the planned work while urgent cases skip the form and reach a person immediately.

The explanation

An electrician's page has a safety duty. Someone with a burning smell should not fill out a form and wait for a callback. Put a prominent line at the top of the page that tells them to call now or contact emergency services, and keep the booking form for routine work.

For routine service, such as a dead outlet, a new fixture or a ceiling fan, a service menu with durations and a trip fee works well. Add questions: what is the problem, is a breaker tripping, and a photo of the panel label when relevant.

Projects like panel upgrades or a new circuit need an estimate visit first. Offer that as its own request type, so the customer is not choosing a price for work that needs an inspection.

Steps

  1. Put an emergency notice with your phone number above the booking form.
  2. Create routine service call services with durations and a stated trip fee.
  3. Create a separate estimate request for panel, rewiring and new circuit work.
  4. Offer arrival windows and review each request before confirming.

In electrician

Electrical customers range from a dead outlet to a panel upgrade, and a few situations are real emergencies. The page has to point urgent problems to the phone and keep routine work flowing to the form. All electrician scheduling questions.
