Is Simpro worth it?

Process: Software pricing and choosing. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerSimpro is worth it when your work involves quotes, takeoffs, larger jobs and office staff who will use the project tools, since the vendor presents those as products and prices by personalized quote. [1] For recurring small jobs, a simpler tool may do the job for less. [1]

The explanation

Worth depends on use, not on brand. Write down the five tasks that waste the most time in your week. If they are quoting from plans, tracking materials and billing in stages, a project-focused tool earns its place.

If they are rescheduling, reminding customers and routing a crew, you are paying for modules you will not touch. The vendor's page names Takeoffs and Data Feed among its products. [1]

There is no posted price to weigh, so get a written quote with onboarding included and ask for a trial or a reference customer in your trade. [1] Decide only after one real job runs through it. If neither side convinces you, run one real quote through any trial they offer and time it against your current method.

How Apex does it

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex is a scheduler first. It is built around requests, confirmation, routes and reminders, not plan takeoffs, and its pricing is by user band so a small team can test it for 14 days.
