I hate my appliance repair software, what else is there?

Process: Switching and cancelling. Trade: Appliance repair. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerStart by naming what your appliance repair software gets wrong, then export customers, appliance histories and open invoices before testing a replacement. A good replacement handles model and serial numbers per customer and warranty dates, since callbacks depend on them.

The explanation

Appliance repair records are different from other trades. A customer may own a washer, a fridge and a dryer, each with a model number, a serial number, a purchase date and a repair history. If a new tool stores only a customer and a note, you lose that structure.

Before moving, ask how the old system exports equipment history. If it exports only customers, copy the appliance details into a spreadsheet yourself for your active accounts. It is dull work and it saves a callback from turning into guesswork.

Run a trial week on live calls. Take diagnoses, parts orders and return visits in the new tool while the old one stays open for reference, then check that parts and warranty information carried over correctly.

What to watch for

  • Moving customers but not their appliance records.
  • Dropping open warranty dates in the import.

In appliance repair

Warranty and parts follow-ups depend on knowing what is installed and when it was repaired. Test one real warranty callback in the new tool before you trust it. All appliance repair scheduling questions.

How Apex does it

In progress

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.

Apex includes customer import and CSV export, both partly built, and works toward equipment and asset history per customer. Equipment history is built as a screen, and it is not yet connected to saved data.

  • LD15Customer import from CSV/other software(In progress)
  • LD16Customer export (CSV) at any time(In progress)
  • IV05Equipment / asset history per customer(Rolling out)

Apex Flow Scheduler is in early access. See how we label status.
