When ZenMaid may fit better

ZenMaid may fit a house cleaning company that wants software built only for maid services, with a low entry price and cleaner checklists, payroll and GPS on the Pro tier [3]. Its free data import and onboarding call are also a plus for owners who want hand holding [5]. Apex is early access with one business as its only tenant, so it is newer and narrower.

How Apex is designed differently

Apex is a general service scheduler built around the request and confirm loop: an online request arrives pending, and only the owner or the owner's rules turn it into a confirmed visit. Pricing follows the number of users, not appointment counts. Texts and AI phone minutes are not part of any plan. Data export on cancel is designed in, though still partly built, and the cleaning pack is also partly built.

This is a statement about Apex design, not a claim that ZenMaid falls short. Apex Flow Scheduler is early access, its only tenant is Apex’s own first business, and many features are still rolling out.

What we could not verify

  • The vendor's help center and terms were not reachable in this pass, so export formats and data ownership terms are not verified.
  • Booking form behavior and whether requests need approval were not verified.
  • Prices change, so verify on the vendor's own pricing page before buying.
