How to switch from ZenMaid in an afternoon, with undo
The planA small cleaning company with a few dozen regulars can usually move in an afternoon. Larger histories and many recurring schedules take longer. Apex import from competitor exports is rolling out, and the badges on the import features below show the honest current state.
Before you start
- Keep your old account open and paid until the new setup has run a full cycle.
- Write down each regular customer's frequency, day, price and key or entry notes.
- List cleaner assignments and any checklists you use per home.
- Note which integrations you rely on, such as accounting or card payments.
- Pause old text reminders before customers get messages from two places.

Undo plan
In progress
To undo the switch, keep the old account running until the new one has handled a full cycle, then point your booking link back and resume the old reminders. Apex customer export is designed to be available any time, and export on cancel is partly built. No automatic rollback is promised, so your saved exports are the undo.

Switching questions
Does Apex have a cleaning pack like a maid-only tool?
Apex has a cleaning pack with checklists and rooms, and it is partly built. It is a general service scheduler, so check the feature badge before depending on any cleaning specific step.
How long does the old vendor keep my data after I cancel?
We did not verify this. Check the vendor's own terms and help center, and take your own export before you cancel so you are not relying on retention.
Will my cleaners need a new app?
Apex has no native iOS or Android app. Crew members install it to the phone home screen as a web app, using a QR code. Offline mode and some field features are partly built.
