When Skimmer may fit better

Skimmer may fit better if the business is only pool service and wants software built around that one trade [1]. Its published per-location pricing starts at a low monthly minimum [2], and it lists an offline technician app and QuickBooks Online billing [6][7]. Apex is early access, with one business as its only tenant, and is newer and narrower.

How Apex is designed differently

Apex is designed around a request flow: a customer's online request arrives pending, and the owner or the owner's rules confirm it before it becomes a visit. Pricing is by number of users, not by pool or location. Texts and AI run on the owner's own provider account, so they are not bundled in a plan. The owner can export data, though export on cancel is partly built.

This is a statement about Apex design, not a claim that Skimmer falls short. Apex Flow Scheduler is early access, its only tenant is Apex’s own first business, and many features are still rolling out.
