How to price pressure washing jobs?
Short answerPrice pressure washing by measuring each surface, estimating how fast you clean that surface type, then adding chemicals, water access, travel and margin. Different surfaces clean at different speeds, so price concrete, siding and roofs separately and set a minimum charge for small jobs.
The explanation
Surface decides the speed. A flat driveway goes quickly; a textured deck, a fence or a two-story wall goes slowly and may need a different tip or a softer approach. Time a few of each from your own work and record square feet per hour.
Then adjust for access. A hose bib that is far away, no water at the property, steep slopes or tight gates add time. Chemicals, surface cleaners and wear on equipment are costs that belong in the price, not in your hope.
Use area times a tested rate as a starting number and check it against the hours. Add a minimum so a patio does not lose money. Offer packages for driveway plus walkways, and make clear that results depend on stain age and surface condition.
In pressure washing
Pressure washing depends on weather and water access, and the season is short in cold regions. Fill dry days with grouped neighborhood stops. All pressure washing scheduling questions.
