How to price pest control jobs?

Process: Quotes and estimates. Trade: Pest control. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerPrice pest control as two parts: an initial treatment that covers inspection, the larger first application and follow-up risk, and a lower recurring plan for maintenance visits. Base each on property size, pest type, product and time, add margin, and state what the plan covers if pests return.

The explanation

The first visit costs more because it includes an inspection, a heavier treatment and often a return visit to check. Use your time log for these. A home with an active infestation takes more work than one on a preventive plan.

The recurring plan should be priced on a stable visit: property size, number of stops, product used and drive time. Say how many visits per year are included and what happens between them, such as a free callback for a covered pest.

Pest control is regulated in many places and often requires licensed applicators and records of products used. Check your state's rules before quoting, and record the material and amount on every visit. That documentation protects you if a customer disputes the work.

In pest control

Pest control is built on repeat visits and a service record per property. Price so the recurring plan stays profitable after callbacks. All pest control scheduling questions.
