Can i use google calendar to schedule appointments?

Process: Booking and scheduling. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerYes, you can use Google Calendar to schedule appointments with customers through appointment schedules, which give people a booking page based on your availability [1]. It can also request payment after you connect a Stripe account [1]. It does not manage routes, crews or job status, so busier trades need more.

The explanation

The vendor documents a booking form that asks for first name, last name and email, with more fields available, and confirmation emails plus up to five reminders [1]. For a solo trade with short visits, that covers the basics.

The gaps show up as you grow. There is no concept of arrival windows tied to drive time, no way to assign a job to a crew with skills, and no invoice flow. The reminder wording cannot be edited [1]. If a customer replies to the confirmation, the message goes to your email.

A practical test: book ten real customers through it and note every time you copy information elsewhere. If you are rekeying addresses, job notes or prices, you have found the cost. A scheduling system that holds those in one record removes the copying.

What to watch for

  • Taking payments through a tool and forgetting to record them in your books.
  • Using one shared calendar for the whole crew with no naming rules.
