A blank in the first column means we did not verify it. We make no claim about features Joist does not publish.
When Joist may fit better
Joist may suit a solo contractor or small crew that mainly needs estimates, invoices and card payments from a phone at a low monthly price [1]. Its listed QuickBooks sync and financing options point the same way [6]. Apex is early access with one business as its only tenant, so it is newer and narrower.
How Apex is designed differently
Apex is built around the request and confirm loop. A customer's online request arrives pending, and the owner or the owner's rules confirm it before it becomes a visit. Plans are priced by number of users, texts and AI phone minutes are not included in any plan, and a data export is designed to be available when you cancel. Apex is early access and several of these parts are still partial.
This is a statement about Apex design, not a claim that Joist falls short. Apex Flow Scheduler is early access, its only tenant is Apex’s own first business, and many features are still rolling out.
What we could not verify
- Joist's terms of service, cancellation steps and data export options were not opened, so nothing is claimed about them.
- Which scheduling features sit on lower plans was not confirmed beyond the pricing page summary.
- Prices change, so verify on the vendor's own pricing page before buying.
