How do I read reviews of free dog grooming software?
Short answerI did not use review sites as evidence, so I cannot summarize what they say. To weigh reviews of free grooming software, look for groomers with a similar shop size, find specific complaints about reminders or duration, and check the vendor's own page for what the free tier includes. [1]
The explanation
A review is useful when it names a task. A comment that says reminders arrived late or that every appointment had the same length is information. A comment that says easy to use is not.
Check dates too. Free tiers change, and a review from a few years ago may describe limits that no longer apply. Compare the claim with the vendor's current page. For example, Square's page lists its free tier and what the paid tiers add. [1]
Finish with your own test. Pick two tools, enter your next ten appointments in each, and count the minutes. Ask a client to book through each link and tell you what confused them. Your own numbers will beat any star rating. Save screenshots of what you tested.
In dog groomer
Grooming shops differ: salon, mobile van, home studio. Read reviews from the same kind of shop, since a mobile van has different needs from a salon. All dog groomer scheduling questions.

Part of this is built. The rest is not. Status as of 2026-10-07; the badge shows the least-built feature involved.
Apex lets you see it before you pay: a 14-day trial with no card and a sample data tenant for a trial. The sample data tenant is still being built, so check the status badge.
