Is the Homebase app free?

Process: Software pricing and choosing. Reviewed 2026-10-07.

Short answerHomebase has a free Basic plan: $0 per location per month for one location and up to 10 employees. [1] The paid tiers start at $30 a month per location, and a 14-day trial of the All-in-One plan is offered. [1] Free covers the basics only. [1]

The explanation

A free tier exists because the vendor wants you to grow into the paid ones. The limits are visible on the page: one location and ten employees. [1] A crew of twelve or a second shop has to pay.

The usual trade for a free plan is fewer features and less support, not hidden fees. Read the plan comparison table to see what is left out, since the page splits features across four tiers. [1]

If your goal is customer appointments and routes, check that the tool offers them at all. A free shift planner is a fine fit for a shop with rotating staff and a poor fit for mobile service visits. Check the cap before you rely on it, since hiring an eleventh person ends the free level.
