Industries / Pet services
One groomer, one van, one dog at a time, and a rabies certificate that expires.
Works with a few tweaks
Keep pet profiles and breed notes, rebook repeat grooms, route the van.
Apex schedules each grooming by breed, size and coat, blocks a booking when the vaccination record has lapsed, and keeps your van to a handful of stops a day by neighborhood.
Who it is for: Mobile groomers with a van and a shop-based groomers with stations, for dogs and cats, working recurring four-to-eight-week cycles.
Works with a few tweaksGrooming research lists tools and needs but found no complaint data. Operator interviews will deepen this pack.
What generic schedulers get wrong for mobile grooming
The slot is a breed
A poodle, a lab and a cat take different times. Duration comes from breed, size and coat, and matting changes it.
The van is one groomer and one dog
A mobile slot includes drive time. Six to eight stops is a day.
A vaccination record is a gate
An expired rabies certificate should stop the booking, not surface at the door.
Multi-pet homes go back to back
Two dogs in one household chain into one visit with two durations.
Cadence is by breed
Four to eight weeks, rebooked at checkout, not a generic monthly interval.

What it costs for mobile grooming
Apex lists three public plans, priced by users: Solo $59 per month for 1 user, Crew $99 for 2 to 5 users, Business $129 for 6 users plus $10 for each extra user. No plan includes any texts, AI phone minutes or AI usage. For this trade we would start you on Solo. One groomer and a van start on Solo, and Crew fits when a second groomer arrives.
Housecall Pro lists Basic at $59, Essentials at $149 and Max at $299 per month billed annually, or $79, $189 and $329 billed monthly. Workiz does not publish plan prices, so we show none. These are public figures as read on 2026-10-06, verify before buying. Seat counts and included features differ between vendors, and we have not verified every one, so compare your own crew size on the pricing page before you decide. Texts and AI run on your own provider account or a prepaid wallet, and card processing is at the processor's own rate.
